Marval Successfully Recertified For Both ISO/IEC 20000 and ISO/IEC 27001 Standards

After 4 days of intensive auditing with the DNV GL, we have successfully been recommended for recertification against both ISO/IEC 20000 and ISO/IEC 27001 standards. Honouring our commitment to provide our customers with the assurance that the proper process and procedures are in place, we continue to deliver ongoing support to the highest possible levels and ensure the integrity and security of our customers' data. 

This was the first time we have been audited for both standards at the same time. We agreed to combine both audits to make the entire recertification process simpler for the future. This meant preparing evidence with the help of Marval MSM to support 4 days’ worth of audits.

Due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19 and the decision that postponement was not an option, this recertification was the first time we have been audited remotely, which presented new challenges for our compliance team to overcome.

As a business, we are proud to be one of a small number of ITSM software suppliers who hold ISO/IEC 20000 and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications simultaneously.

ISO/IEC 20000 is a formal, international standard (aligned with and underpinned by the ITIL good practice framework) that provides the industry with a benchmark that can be used for auditing and assessing internal and external suppliers across the supply chain and delivering opportunities for service support teams to develop a culture of continual service improvement. Marval has successfully held this certification since its introduction in 2005.

ISO/IEC 27001 is the international standard for providing an information security management system. To achieve certification, we had to prove its adherence to a strict framework of policies and procedures that included legal, physical and technical controls for the company’s information risk management processes.
