Enhanced Mobile functionality in MSM v14.16
Developed using the .NET technology platform, innovative programming approaches have enabled Marval to continue to develop an intelligent solution that is not only ’superfast’ but with the flexibility to handle complex processes and high volumes, combined with advanced functionality and ease of use.
Here we highlight just some of the enhanced mobile functionality introduced in Marval’s latest software release MSM v14.16
Attachments to a request
The mobile app now allows a user to attach one or more files to either a new or existing request. The user can select multiple files at once, or individually.
This is useful for an engineer in the field that may encounter an issue with a piece of equipment and wishes to photograph it, upload and attach it to the request for later review.
Update status of a configuration item
Through the mobile app an authorised user can now update the status of a configuration item (CI). For example, a configuration manager auditing the CIs in a stock room can now amend the details of CIs to indicate whether they are decommissioned, recycled, active, or any other status.
View sub requests on the move
Users can see a count of successful, pending and unsuccessful attached configuration items present below the description on an existing sub request.
For example a line manager with new starters under their wing can now monitor the progress of new starter sub-request tasks being actioned by departments such as Procurement, IT and Facilities while they themselves are on the move.
